Let's Go to the Museum!

If you are ever in Korea and in uijongbu, there is an Army Base called Camp Red Cloud. You will probably need a soldier to sign for you so you can enter (it shouldn't be too hard, at church there are soldiers who are members who can sign and escort you in) and walk around the camp. There is a small but beautiful museum called the 2nd Infantry Museum. This was the main Infantry unit in the Korean war. Its history starts in WW1 but they end up going to Korea. It really is a beautiful museum and you can see the selfless sacrifice of many people who thought of others before themselves. You can go to www.2ID.korea.army.mil or google @ID museum virtual tour. The former was giving me a hard time. click on the korea part. Ok well hope you all like it, see ya! Raul

  1. Thanks for the post. I believe that it is imperative that we strive to remember the people who served our country wherever they served. I kind of think that is one of the underlying motives behind my thesis which deals with African-American fighter pilots during the Korean War. No matter where you come from, what color you are, you socio-economic status, if you have served our country you deserve the respect and honor of proper recognition and thanks by all.
